On the weekend of 8 November we are celebrating the Feast of St Joseph Pignatelli, the patron of our parish. After the 9am children's Mass, we shall continue celebrating with events on the oval. We'll have a sausage sizzle and icecream. There'll be a bouncy castle, face-painting, etc. Come celebrate our saintly neighbour, St Joseph Pignatelli, with us.
Please note that as the boarders will be joining us for the morning Mass there will not be an evening Mass at Santa Maria that Sunday.

As you may recall we did a poll on Mass times. The results were as follows: 1 - Saturday 6pm; 2 - Sunday 9.30am; 3 - Sunday 8.30am; 4 - Sunday 7.30am. The results were neither clearcut nor conclusive and the parish council and I have deliberated long and hard on them. At the last Council meeting the consensus was that wehave two parish Masses (in addition to the Santa Maria Sunday evening Mass): the provisional Mass times for next year are Saturday 6pm and Sunday 9am.Please note that these are provisional Mass times and we now enter a new period of consultation.

Having received feedback from parishioners, the parish council has decided not to proceed with airconditioning the church. Environmental and social justice concerns seemed to figure heavily in the responses received from the parish community.

A sundowner to thank the volunteers who contribute to the life of the parish was held after the last mission talk on Friday. Thanks to Jenny and to the members of the parish council who worked with her to organize the event.

On 23 November after the 9.30am Mass we shall bless and open the re-furbished Bourhill Parish Centre. Come along to celebrate and bring a plate to share.

There is a meeting on Thursday, 6 November, at 7.30pm in the church.

The Council will meet on Thursday, 3 July, at 7.30pm in the church foyer. If councillors have any issues for the agenda please contact Anne. Parishioners who would like to raise an issue with the Council may email the parish or speak to a councillor.

There is a meeting on Thursday, 7 February, at 7.30pm in the church foyer.

The Parish AGM is on Thursday, 6 December, at 7.30pm in the church foyer. It will be a short meeting with various reports being presented. We'll end with nibblies and drinks. All parishioners are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The annual parish dinner is on Friday at 7pm. If you would like to come please contact the presbytery as soon as possible. Tickets are $25 each and it is BYO alcohol. For directions click here.

Parish councillors are reminded that there is a meeting this Thursday, 2 August, at 7.30pm in the foyer of the church. If parishioners would like a matter raised please contact a parish councillor or the parish office.

Bookings are now being taken for the parish dinner. After the weekend Masses you may see Steve van Mierlo or Fr Sean and reserve your places. Tickets will be issued closer to the event.

The parish dinner is on 7 September at 7pm the East Fremantle Lawn Tennis Club. Pencil the date in your diary and keep an eye out for the tickets. It is BYO Alcohol. Tickets are $25 each.

The parish council will not be meeting on 5 July. The meeting has been postponed to 12 July. It will be at 7.30pm in the church foyer.
